Daddy’s Little Hero - Inspiring
I am always excited to hear that my beautiful book “Daddy’s Little Hero” has influenced or is loved by children that are reading it. So what an amazing surprise this year to so see pictures of Evie Pearl Ogden, dressed up as a Fire Fighter with “Daddy’s Little Hero” as her book for Book Week this year.
I was so excited, that I just had to meet Evie in person, and was immediately captured by her warmth, enthusiasm and the passion she has for becoming a Fire Fighter like her Dad, Luke. The meeting with Evie also gave me an opportunity to provide her with her own signed copy of Daddy’s Little Hero. Thank you Evie, it was a pleasure to meet you!
Wheatland Primary School Book Week Parade 2022
Wheatland Primary School kindly invited me to attend their Book Week Parade this year as a judge, I was thrilled to be in attendance it was a lot of fun.
The event was full of children dressed up and parading as their favourite story book characters with prizes for the best in each group. Teachers provided additional entertainment playing the parts of their chosen characters in a Heroes vs Villains act and the children loved “booing” or “applauding” along the way.
A big thankyou to all the Teachers, support Staff, Students and Parents at the Wheatland School for putting on such a wonderful event, evidently showing their passion and love of books. I am looking forward to what they will do at next year’s event!
Please find a little video snippet which captured some of the action on the day taken by Leanne from LGR Promotions.
